  2. Upon reading Dean’s remarks, I come to realized that he himself failed to work out the fruits of his endeavors of attending the PREX, if he did attend so. By failing to work out what he has learned from PREX, he became judgmental. And by being judgmental, he became one-sided and pessimistic. His remarks prove his lack of initiative to put his faith and knowledge into action.

Attending PREX is like attending school. There are college graduates who venture to apply their knowledge in practical situation, and there are also graduates who lack the courage, the determination, the initiative to apply their skills. Results: They are unemployed and tambays. This is also the same with PREX. There are graduates who act and graduates who don’t act.

I wonder if Dean does have the heart and initiative to go out and act. Else, he would not be commenting against PREX. I wonder if an unemployed or tambay would criticized his school or the education he received. If he finds his education lacking, he would strive to pursue continuing education. If Dean found his PREX lacking, he should pursue continuing education. If he does not so, that is his problem. I think he should problem himself, and not the PREX or the graduates.

It is the choice of every PREX graduate to put their faith and knowledge into action. It is also their choice not to do so. Dean has a choice. If he is affected by the quality of PREX graduates, then he should have cooperated and volunteered to be a “peer facilitator”. He should offer his service rather than to keep his problems locked inside his mind.

The fruits of PREX will be reflected on the graduates who choose to act, as with Mr. Robertson and his GF, and not on the lazy and unwilling ones. PREX is not the only opportunity, though, to gain understand how to live our life as Christians. Think of it as an “undergraduate course”. As serious Christians, we should pursue master’s or doctorate.

  3. To Mr. Dean,

It’s quality over quantity.

“The LORD said, “If I find fifty righteous people in the city of Sodom, I will spare the whole place for their sake.” 27Then Abraham spoke up again: “Now that I have been so bold as to speak to the Lord, though I am nothing but dust and ashes, 28what if the number of the righteous is five less than fifty? Will you destroy the whole city because of five people?” “If I find forty-five there,” he said, “I will not destroy it.” 29Once again he spoke to him, “What if only forty are found there?” He said, “For the sake of forty, I will not do it.” 30Then he said, “May the Lord not be angry, but let me speak. What if only thirty can be found there?” He answered, “I will not do it if I find thirty there.” 31Abraham said, “Now that I have been so bold as to speak to the Lord, what if only twenty can be found there?” He said, “For the sake of twenty, I will not destroy it.” 32Then he said, “May the Lord not be angry, but let me speak just once more. What if only ten can be found there?” He answered, “For the sake of ten, I will not destroy it.” 33When the LORD had finished speaking with Abraham, he left, and Abraham returned home.”

Walang saysay ang pagiging maalam mo sa theology at cathecism if you live in kayabangan.

But whoever will persevere until the end will have life”.

Maging humble. Patience is a virtue.

Di ba sa diary nya may entry sya na parang “Where are you Lord”?

Wag kang manghusga. Magpakabanal ka for the glory of God hindi para maging mapanghusga.

Lastly na talaga, if you are so full of ‘theology ang cathecism’, try to loosen up a bit. O di ba you get your own dose of medicine? madami kang nakikitang mapagkunwari at plastik…di ka rin pala naiiba?
Sorry, kuya. Ganyan talaga ang buhay…you judge..and you will be judged.

At…of course ang pinaka obvious…the devil and his minions will do everything in his power to distract/stop/ any if not all acts of holiness or anything that bring man more closer to God.

    God bless us all.

Meron.

  4. Each one is entitled to his/her own opinion. But if one does not have anything good to say, then it’d be better to say nothing at all.
